What is WellApps?
Imagine your personal physician was with you 24 hours a day for a month to witness the symptoms of your chronic illness. He/she would be able to keep you feeling well.

WellApps creates this effect virtually, using mobile and online symptom tracking applications. Patients can log their symptoms using our simple apps (WellApps) and participating physicians can see their patients’ data in real-time.

Furthermore, de-identified data can be collected anonymously and shared with researchers to make progress in the treatment of chronic illnesses.

Danielle, from We Are Crohn's - I just got it! This is AWESOME. I have been keeping my CDAI in an excel spreadsheet. No more excel for me!

Kello82 from crohnsforum.com - i love that gi monitor.
very cool, it would come in so handy when you are filling out the mandatory paperwork at the start of every dr appt...symptoms worse, better, pain scale, med changes, etc. I can never remember that stuff

Kyle, from We Are Crohn's - This app is a life saver. I have a crazy life and my can never find time to write down this stuff for my next gi appointment.

GI Monitor ....Fantastic idea

I would firstly like to say thank you for creating such a great application. Trying to track how I feel on an excel spreadsheet has not only been tedious but not entirely accurate for me as I can not quite remember all that i eat and how my stool is after. This is a great concept as I always have my itouch on me and its on the go. I do agree with Brian that a food section would be helpful for many. I just wanted to take the time and say thank you as this really has made my life that much easier. Great job!

Suggestions

I think your app is GREAT! A few suggestions:
1. Add Pentasa to the RX list
2. Make 1,000mg doses possible in RX
3. Make start date of meds editable
4. Allow deletion of log instances for accidental adds

Thank you so much fir making this app!

Re: Suggestions

Thanks for the suggestions! Some things to keep in mind:

1. You can add any medications you want to the Medications list. On the Meds page, upper right: Plus sign - add a medication. We will also update the list in future releases.

2. 1,000 Mg = 1g - (we actually talked about this during development - not a lot of people know this). We will also consider his suggestion for a future release.

3. Re: Start date of meds - this is on the list (also adding start/end date for email report)

4. This will now be on the list for a future release. Good suggestions.

PLEASE KEEP THE SUGGESTIONS COMING. We are committed to making this the best possible application for IBD patients.

Thanks,
Brett

Adding more meds

I think you should be able to type in your on meds if they are not listed. With their being new meds all the time it would save you from always updating.

You CAN add your own meds...

There is a notepad in the upper right hand corner of the Medications page. Just type in your new medication and it saves it to the master list. :)

Notes for stool log section

I just bought this app & know it'll be my most useful app purchase by far. My doctor wants a little more info about each stool than the stool log supplies. I agree with the urgency comment but could also use stool size and a section for notes such as "first movement after enema/medication" or mental reminders for discussion questions with doctor.
Thanks for creating this app, it might save my life!

Thanks! Great feedback.

We will get this into the development queue. I agree that notes should be added to the stool log. Will speak wit the developers about this asap. Please keep the suggestions coming.

Best,
Brett

Urgency

I just found this app via @kknip on Twitter and am already using it. I've had Ulcerative Proctitis for about 18 years now.

I understand that this may be a symptom unique to UP, but having an urgency rating on the stool logging page would be a great addition for me.

Looking forward to having really good data for my doc at my next appointment. Thanks for creating such a great, easy app!!

Urgency

Hi Moseylissa,

I actually considered an urgency notation when I was developing this. Goodness knows its an importrant factor in our lifestyles. I will talk to our developers about this for a future release. It will definitely make the list somewhere. Thanks so much for the feedback and I wish you the best with your condition.

Yes, diet tracker

Love the diet tracker idea - I'd recommend it for my IBD and IBS patients.

Please add the medication Allopurinol as it is prescribed commonly with azathioprine. Thanks

this looks incredibly

this looks incredibly useful...

GI Monitor- Please add medications and Food Log

Hi -

I just bought the GI monitor app and I love it! however this app would be even better with a food log, there are many people out there who are on restricted diets, or wellness diets such as the Specific Carb Diet or learning which foods to avoid and it would be great to be able to compare the food eaten with the type of day (pain, consistency, etc) you have had.

While i know, when i purchased the app it said there is no food portion because many people already know what foods bother them, there are many people who are either new to crohns, tyring different diets, excerise or on new medications and simply dont know what is causing them their pain- it would be great to cover everything.

My doctors have asked me multiple times to keep a journal of my eating and how it affects me- it would be great to do it one place.

I would definitly recommend this app to others if there was a food log on here.

Thanks!

Sam

Agreeing with Sam

I have to totally agree. Adding a food section would be wonderful. It doesn't have to be like the diet apps out there where it has all the daily information included. It could simply be just a section where we can list what we ate. Then again, the notes section could be used for this now that I think about it. Just anything to help keep track of our intake in relation to our output. lol.

Great App,
Brian

Diet Tracker

Sam/Brian - appreciate your feedback. Diet Tracker is definitely on the list for the next release. :)
